Three weeks to Go!

In three weeks, it will be the last night and there’s still a lot of work to do!! It seems we’re always good the second time we rehearse an Act. Lines are still a bit shaky (very shaky in places) and moves can be woolly. Not the casts fault, just where we are in the rehearsal process.

Having said that, the individual performances are solidifying and maturing really well, and the company has a great sense of community, so we just need to make as much use of rehearsal time as possible, cos there aint long left!

Other news:

The bare bones of the set has now been built in the theatre and it’s looking very good indeed. I can’t wait for Wiggy to get her hands on it now!!

Prologue has been agreed and we have a lot of work to do setting up the multimedia bits.

Music is still under discussion, but I need an answer really soon as I have to record / mix etc. in time for the production!

We’re in the theatre full time now for rehearsals, which is perfect!

Tickets sale are abysmal. There is a real reticence to see the play, I think it is seen as a real downer and too heavy. This is seriously bad news, some nights have only sold around ten tickets so far. Publicity has been good and the word has got out but not much is happening. W can’t rely on the ‘I’ll be alright in the end’ principle, because it may not be!

Lastly, I wanted to welcome out new marshal Herrick to the cast. David Rose has replaced Bob Wilson as Herrick at short notice. Thanks David! I hope you enjoy the experience!

Please buy / sell tickets as much as possible. This is going to be incredible but unfortunately, it could end up being the one that everyone missed. It would be a real shame to let that happen!
